300 for a Spartan
March 18th, 2017 by Jeffrey Lubeck

Coach Jake Boss Jr. has so much respect in college sports and general that he was willing to pose with The Usual Suspects.

Michigan State University Baseball Head Coach Jake Boss Jr. earned his 300th career victory as the Spartans blasted the University of Richmond Spiders 13-4 on Saturday at Pitt Field in the Capitol city of the State of Virginia. MSU sits at 12-4 in 2017 and ranked #8 nationally in the RPI. In nine seasons under Boss, the MSU baseball program operates with great success in terms of respect, win-loss percentage, and national standing presence.

A full report on the game is [here].

Wisconsin Upsets NCAA Defending Champions Villanova, who also happened to be the Number One Overall Seed in this year’s 2017 NCAA tournament—The eighth-seeded Wisconsin Badgers closed the game at 65-62, thanks in great part to momentum brought by Nigel Hayes in the closing seconds.

Wisconsin now advances to their fourth consecutive Sweet 16 round to play the winner of the Florida vs. Virginia game on Friday night….which turned out to be Florida by a score of 65 to 39. Wow!

Some people… nice group picture, other than the slob who failed to tuck in his undershirt.

At the office right now as I have been without internet service since 7am Saturday.
    Thanks CenturyLink !!!
109 homes affected in town as of yesterday, only 7 remain affected as of now, including yours truly. They’ve told me we should have DSL service restored by tomorrow morning at the latest.

Looks like I’m still ahead in the bracket pool. Pure luck. A couple thoughts from earlier:
1/ NW was robbed of a chance to get by the Zags. Considering the score, 4 pt differencial on the missed call, then tech.

2/ I picked/thought Painter can screw up a free lunch and therefor picked the Cyclones. He almost did leaving Biggie on the bench at key stretches.

3/ Thought K-State got screwed, too.

4/ Looserville out to the Skunkbears. HA!!! Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving Coach and team, even if it was to SCum.

I was at the 2009 victory against Kansas. they had a big goon in the middle who only got called for one foul the whole game. we still managed to win. we will get no calls today. i’m still debating whether to watch game or Love Boat. can be a really bad day when SCum wins and we possibly lose to cheating Kansas.
